Can anyone tell me when the first Christmas Bonus was paid to the pensioners by the Government please?

Introduced in 1972 and has been ten quid ever since then !

I know 3 women that have had that �10 every year since it was first introduced.

35 years to get �350. :)

It wasn't paid in 1975 and 1976.

There's an extra �60 this year. Well next year really because it's payable between January and March.

Thanks. I was arguing with oh about it and he said it was about 30 years ago, but I said I thought it was only 20! Can't believe I was wrong!
