There will be about 2k worth of bonus paid (not just to me, I wish) so I couldn't get away with that much not going through the books.
Coo, lucky you milly, I've not had a Christmas bonus since 1973!

I am very lucky. Also greedy!
I used to get £250 in vouchers about 4 times a year as a 'thank you'.....
My boss use to just give me cash :-)
No, through the payroll is taxed as are vouchers.
No one where I work got their bonuses this year.

We appear to be one of the few companies that has had a good year so far. It started off slowly but in the past quarter we have already nearly matched our turnover for the past financial year so the bosses are rewarding us, and themselves of course.
Your employer is committing an offence if they do this - income tax and NI evasion. For £2k you and your employer have no chance - legally. There are minor concessions by HMRC at Christmas - for example staff parties paid for by the employer up to a value of £75 per employee are an acceptable exception - but not in cash.

It's ok, they aren't planning on doing it. I was just asking for my own benefit really to see if there was a legitimate way around it.

When I say cash, I don't mean actual cash. It will be paid into my bank account as per my usual wages and will show on my wage slip - along with the deductions :o(
I paid tax and NI on the bonus I got today, £202 in tax alone grrr
Wish I was getting a bonus to pay tax on!!!
non-sequential notes in an envelope!!!

then create a fake receipt for expenses!!!!!
I'm with Mac-Cat on this one.
