counter cheque

i closed my account with abbey and opened new one with lloyds i was given a counter cheque and want to now long it that for them to clear

If it is a current account you have opened, funds will be available to withdraw within a maximum of 4 working days. The funds will be completely cleared within 6 working days.

For a savings account, it could be up to 6 working days.
