So, he hasn't seen a single doctor since the day of his admission . All he has seen are nurses daily who administer his medication. Said nurses have told him he has a personality disorder but are are already,y talking about his discharge! He said he feels rested and a bit better after no alcohol and some sleep, but hasn't really got anywhere.

hoping the hiatus will have helped
What about his court case, Smow? Any news on that?
Honestly ...your system sounds just as bad as ours ....anyone with a 'mental' ( hate the word )issue is expected to make the best of it.

Yesterday should have been court but he's been unable to get hold of solicitor to find out what happens now
I would have thought that anyone admitted would be seen by a doctor before commencement of any treatment.
That's shocking. Is he in a secure unit?
How do the nurses know what drugs to administer if he hasn't been seen by a doctor?
Glad he says he's feeling rested and a bit better.

If he's not even seen a doctor, how does anyone know he's on the correct meds?

Does his solicitor know where he is?
I'm assuming it was on the day of his admission, Tilly.

He was seen by a doctor on admission, and drugs sorted apparently, but since then nothing! I've told him that's shocking! He's in an actual mental health facility hospital.
He should at least be seen again by a doctor before discharge.
How long as he been in?
In the majority of mental disorders, nothing happens for a long time, drugs may take a month or more to act and improvement in mental condition usually isn't seen for perhaps weeks or even months.......if at all.
This makes the presence of a doctor, less essential, probably once a month would suffice.
Has he been detoxing from alcohol took in the unit S ?
Question Author
He's been in since 21st August . Whole system is a nightmare.
Alcohol detox ?

Sqad- yes that makes sense. Just think seeing a doctor or at least having a bit of an update would help.
Please give him my regards, Smow. I hope he's on the road to some kind of recovery.
Sqad's Comment makes sense . Mental health issues are not like an infection where a few days of antibiotics clear it up and there is almost an instant effect. The nurses will be specialist mental health nurses and they will be monitoring nalit, in this case 'no news is good news' .
It means he is not getting worse, treatment and observation will continue after he is released. I hope the hospital has informed the court and / or his solicitor about the situation as it is crucial that they know, so that his illness and ongoing treatment can be taken into account in any sentence.
Sad to hear that Nailit hasn't seen a doctor - it would be nice to get a bit of reassurance from one. He (Nailit) probably thinks is this all worthwhile but if you are reading Nailit - enjoy the rest and don't worry about the court - take one day at a time.

Don't worry Worry till worry worries you. Good luck x
