This place is literally round the corner from me and I pass it every day with Maxie but my neighbour who's father was shot dead was telling me about it last night so I called in today and apparently since I have been shot I was entitled to many things. Don't care about that - but if I get a few lovely massages I will love that. Also there are loads of other things to be involved in - classes art, craft, creative writing - so if I am invited I may join one or two things - not that there are plenty of those knocking about but never got my joint into them. We'll see. Really would love massages, reiki, indian head blah blah. Ill be a new woman.

I am glad too - apparently I am entitled to a free holiday too but anyway they said they have me on the system so I am going to be a freeeeeeeeeeewheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeler. Only kidding.

Ach I will Mamy - the wee girl was lovely explaining bits and bobs - very kind and calming manner for one so young.

I will tell you one thing I will tell them - when it happened my shooting - I went home on my brother's arm (limped home as the leg was frozen) and next morning all my family acted as if nothing happened. Looking back that was bloody strange but they say they did it because they didn't want to frighten me with fuss. Me ***.

Conne, when were you shot and how badly were you injured? I've known indirectly of some who were shot and killed.

I cannot imagine such horror - yes shared experiences will be part of it too.

Shot twice in left leg - behind the knee and into the calf which would have been a flesh wound but I consider myself very lucky as it could have been my eye - now that would have been lovely. Deaf, blind and toothless - One foot in the Grave - that's my song LOL

well Sibs - my little nephew was shot dead in the massacre in the bookies in 1992 and his mother died 2 years later of a broken heart so I know those directly - sadly.

no there will never ever be peace - too much hurt on both sides and each won't let the other go - so no no no no

still withall I wouldn't live anywhere else - particularly where I live here in my neighbourhood - really wonderful neighbours. Put my bin in and out - I put the wrong bin out last night - neighbour brought back in and put the right one out. Other neighbour literally would do anything for me - anything - apparently his mother in law has said to me you know Conne you are the only one I know that he does it right away - everybody has to wait weeks on him to do a job. Brilliant stuff. Treat them mean to keep them keen. Only joking. I am very independent and do try to do everything but some of the neighbours crack up when I do. Oh came home last night and my front lawn was mowed too.

TonyVa - believe it or not - the pain in both areas of legs must be excrcuiating - I truly didn't feel a thing - a little old lady at that night 70 said "you have been shot" - I *** mysself - oh god My mother will kill me and i meant that,##J
