A company credit check

hi all iat the same place for the last 2 years, and they have ahnded me a form to do a credit check, i was wondering if anyone elses company does this and why do they need to do this. surely me having a credit card has nothing to do with the company

i work in a call centre for a registras
If you work in insurance/finance, it'll be to do with the FSA and is standard. Everyone has to complete them, don't worry.
In my 49 years in banking and insurance I have never had to fill in such a form. Sorry fliptheswitch, but it would have nothing to do with the FSA. I would seriously consider querying the reasons for requiring such a form to be completed.
Never heard of such a thing - unless you are buying things from them, they shouldn't need to know your credit rating.
