to change £s to Aussie dollars?

I am giving my children in OZ money for Xmas. One of my Family are going there shortly so, is it best to give them sterling for them to change there, or change them here for Aus $?

I would give some money to the family member who is visiting and ask them to get a bit of currency for you when they get their own.

My sister is coming over here in May and it will be cheaper for us to book her flights from this end. The Oz dollar is pretty strong at the moment so I would go for changing them over there. Hope this helps
