the 2 younger albas, a drink too far and wowsers, can they fight!
Anyhoo, upshot is the older one moved out on Boxing Day (his brother's birthday) celebrations were moot.

Older one sofa-surfed for a few nights and is in temp accommodation - flipping landed on his feet - 5 mins away from his work, everyone is talking to each other so that's good.

Anneasquith gave me some very good advice years ago when the younger one was a bit of an issue and his aunt stuck her nose in - follow anne's advice and my head and heart so all became good on that front.

They pick their moments don't they?

Yes, you have to roll with it Alba - well done you.x
Sorry to hear that Alba - boys can be *** - my brothers were and often fought like cat and dog.
Hope it all works out for you xx
Question Author
thank you both xxxx

appreciated, very much.

At last I can see to type :-)

Mr Alba is still sore from trying to keep them apart (and as they are both butchers - well - it's was somewhat scary - all knives are kept in a drawer)
My mother (Aberdeen fishwife!!) used to use a wooden spoon on the boys when they kicked off!!
Christmas is notorious for the cause of family break-ups.
Some previously missing links are filling in the blanks today.

Most helpful.
Ha!

I think you'll like this one Islay.

The older one, still in nappies, maybe approaching 2 years old - can't remember what he'd done but had been warned.
Anyhoo, out came the wooden spoon to smack his well-padded botty and wooden spoon broke in half.
We disappeared in tears of laughter
(the spoon wasn't going to be lamped on his botty btw, just a gentle paddling)
Mr. Alba should not be having to watch his sons fight, mum Alba is both angry and heartbroken at her boys doing this, but we have children not angels. Let the dust settle, but ensure they both know you are very disappointed in their behaviour. Main thing is they are save , well and sober, wee devils .

Anne xx
Wee devils - I be 5'6'' (well, used to be) they are both 6'
Couldn't have shared this a few days ago cos I was in bits - things seem to have calmed down a heckuva lot, folk are talking to each other which is always a good sign.

Would just like to thank Anne very much for her advice and support from a few years back, sincerely appreciated.
Oh Albs, that must have shook you up! So glad all has calmed down now. xx
Sending you the most mahoosive hug I have in me Alba.

Can't imagine what watching your two sons lambing one another must be like.

Xxxxxxx < Don't think any ABer has had that man kisses from me!
I really should run a spell check before submitting.

Yes they work in an abattoir but slaughtering new born lambs is harsh, I meant lamping.

Man kisses are for wimps, mine were full on, middle aged woman, bristly ones!

X
Dontcha just love the holidays...?
I have my own tale to tell...will post elsewhere.

Will you all be appearing on Jeremy Kyle ?
very helpful bazile!
Too much testosterone and alcohol = bad behaviour. These will be the brothers who will stand up for each other when outside. Put your feet up, you and Mr. A have a beer/wine watch a film. Oh don't for get the chocolate . ;-)
Sorry
Question Author
thank you all for input and letting me lean on your shoulders.

Older alba is in temp accommodation since last Friday, has been out for a few dinners and has gone home with bags of food (just in case)

ain't life an interesting little thing at times?
Oh it sure is, we came home one evening to find one of our darlings had done a moonlight flit ably assisted by her sister, who no doubt wanted some peace.
