I'd rather my comforty home than these forward homes with shudders - wooden floors etc.

I love carpets, side hangings, comfortable furniture but most of all

bednobs - I am a good person and very welcoming - BUT not to people who invite themselves from from England, Scotland etct.

Oh from here Belfast - oh yes - I am very welcoming. - Isn't so difficult to express in black and white. I am fairly good LOL

I prefer squishy sofas to modern leather and chrome..carpet to wood..

We have a leather sofa and I hate it. Hot in summer, cold in winter. He already had it when I moved in.

I'm more a squishy sofa and carpets person, but am equally comfortable in my Daughter's home with wooden floors,blinds and a huge wood burner.


I assumed 'forward' meant modern style - chrome,glass etc etc.

I love squishy sofas ( even though the dog owns them!),and would love to have wood floors...old wood,not new.
But...hospitality comes from people.

Apart from liking the oldy-worldy I'm always cold so I couldn't live with the modern minimalist style. I hate visitors although I do make an effort if I have to.

I've never heard curtains called side hangings before, that made me laugh. I'm not keen on wooden floors either, each to their own, BUT I like visitors.
