I have been texting a lovely guy for the princely time of about 2 years on and off, only seen a photo of him, never met him - until finally we decided to bite the bullet and meet face to face. It was electric. Seriously. Both of us left the evening on a high, but, he is seeing someone. We had a chance to meet face to face about 11 months ago but I bowed out at the last minute. Now Im regretting that big time. This is a no brainer isnt it ?

what advice do you want?
Question Author
Im not entirely sure what advice I need, do we follow our gut instincts and leave things how they are, do we pursue how we feel or is it a lost cause ? I dont know what to do ...
As he is in a relationship, he may be the one to make the biggest decision, how does he feel??
You know how you feel...but he is seeing someone else....
Question Author
It is a massive thunderbolt, we are both still texting each other and cant sleep. I didnt want to leave him this evening.
You only live once, go for it...............
Can I just add 'electric on first meeting' - lucky lady!!
But how does HE feel - he's the one who has to decide between you and the other person ........... if you feel that strongly just pray its you he chooses.
If he's seeing someone else, the ball's in his court - but if I were in your position, it would only be in his court for a very limited time.
Question Author
Its just bad timing ..why is life like this ? Not fair...
Question Author
Its not fair for him to 'choose', its just bad timing thats all...but Im totally bereft and gutted.
As we say up here in Scotland "What's for ye'll no gan bye ye"

Only the man in question knows if he wants to give up his present lady for you.
What does he want? Have you asked him?

Sounds like he has the big decision to make, does he want to make it? or is he happier having 2 admirers?
//Its not fair for him to 'choose', //

Fair to whom? Of course it's fair for him to choose - he must choose - unless you're happy to be an 'also ran' and play second fiddle.
How would you like it if your fella was textng someone else for 2 years? He'd be betraying you wouldn't he?
Finish it and move on.

jem
If he said it wasn't 'fair' to ask him to choose, he wants to have his cake and eat it.......
Question Author
No way, I wont play second fiddle not for any man, not my style. Yes the ball is in his court, he is mad at me for not making the meeting first time. Lol.
Jemisa has a point....
If he's mad at you for not making the first meeting - beware. His guilt may well come tumbling down upon your head.
Question Author
Agreed Jem, I wouldnt like it at all, this is the point. I didnt know he was seeing someone until tonight, he has been single as long as I have until he met his partner about 6 months ago. Life is a beach.
