cazz....not so.

peri.....in EVERY marriage there becomes a state where one is just USED ton the other one. Not very exciting, indeed boring....happens to all marriages.
i know of 3 relationships at the moment where one party has had an affair. the married couples worked it through, ended the affairs and patched it all together again, with fanfares bells and whistles and declarations of ‘its never been so good, it was the best thing that happened to us’ etc etc

sure enough, the use of the word ‘patched’ is right, more like papered over the cracks. a few months down the line doubt and insecurity slips in and the party who was cheated on gets the wandering eye, whilst the one who had the affair becomes an emotional and controlling insecurity wreck and it all falls apart again.

infedility, wonderful isnit. 3 isolated cases (they don’t know each other) aint a coincidence is it ?
instead of trying to convince us sqad, why dont you and your wife join a swingers club?

Andocles.....you are spot on.

Theer have been many such posts, all saying the same thing, but only when the husband is innocent is it referred to as a wind up. In the many "wife sinned against" posts that I have seen, I have never seen the phrase "windup"

Maybe due to the length of the previous thread, the length of the post is twice that of this post....wife gets more sympathy than the sinned against husband.

AB is female dominate and female biased.
Do ya think sqad? Hmmm im not so sure.

I've been married to Mr Boo 8 years, together 15 and he still makes me go wobbly kneed on occasions. I still, really really look forward to him coming home from work each day, and yep, i still get butterflies when he does eventually come through the door.
'...but you can fool yourself into thinking you are happy in a situation when you are just used to it...'

^^^ That's true. But I also think it's your own problem. If you're questioning whether you're happy then you're probably not and you make either a balanced decision based on pros and cons or you do something about it. It's different for extreme circumstances (abused partners for example as there's a different psychological componant going on there) but the situation Sqad describes isn't extreme.

Sqad - 'China,' 'CD' or 'Your Majesty' are acceptable... CH leaves something to be desired I'm afraid.
yes joining a dance class is a good idea cazzz
he gives you butterflies boo, my wife prefers flowers or a good nogging on the stairs
Sqad - Not everyone feels the need to alieviate said 'boredom' by seeking out pastures new. All long term relationships morph into something else over time. If your perception that the wealth of shared experience, familiarity and closeness developed over years of mutual endeavour is 'boring', then, it may well be that you need to look at your own psyche...........?
possibly a reference to your neutrality china
yea, ch = centre half
If you're neutral then you're not happy... You're neutral... Not feeling anything. That's not a nice place to be. And needs something done about it otherwise you'll go through life like a zombie. Again, the situation Sqad outlines seems to suit all parties. It doesn't suit me, I wouldn't like it... Others might. It's up to them.
Har de har Ankou ;-)
sorry china - ch = switzerland
B00 - "When I hear his key in the lock at night my heart starts to beat faster. I`m just so happy he`s coming home. We have so much fun. " a quote for Anne Bancroft about Mel Brooks.

And one that I have kept in mind, especially as it perfectly describes how I feel about Mrs JtH :o)
I wouldnt mind seeing Mel Brooks coming through the door - he's a very funny man
Now that must be love then Jack, if someone like Mel Brookes with a face like a melted welly can inspire that kind of reaction from someone!
Jack....I thought you was female.
Oh! Cheers Peri... 'Blonde' moment

You know... All this excessive heart beating will have to stop if any of you are diagnosed with a cardiac condition.... Then you'll be sorry...

(I'm just jealous! :c)
