Sunday. The longest day, downhill to winter now. Yesterday was quiet on the canal, but some lovely people came in. One man new to the area, a boat owner was very interested in what we do, he's interested in becoming a boat skipper. He's recently retired and looking for something to do. There was a charter on, so I asked the crew to take him along to see what's what. He liked it, I think he will be an asset to the trust.
Tiggy was out and about as usual, but didn't go far. Had his supper and went to bed early.
Three loads of washing to do today. I know how to have fun! :o} I'm going to flash up the barbie too.
Morning sloopy. xxx Always the way of it. he's aware it's going to take time and he will have to work his way up. He certainly ain't gonna be the senior boatmaster, nor is anyone else until I retire. :o}
quite, we have a couple of deep sea and coastal master mariners who are perfectly happy to haul lines - it's the I've got a yacht/cabin cruiser brigade that worry you
Morning waterman! ... humbers, bensmum,
.. A day in for you then waterman? I could have done with a lie in after a very busy week off. Off to the airport shortly to see son off.
