You dont say what height you are nor what your job is.
Eat less and exercise more.
your work let you take 1.5 hours off to go to the gym??
low fat food.
That amount of gym you will increase muscle to fat ratio and as muscle weighs more than fat you will probably need to adjust your target weight upwards Go by how you look in the clothes you want to wear not a figure that takes no account of your height or body type
Someone may correct me if I am wrong but if you are going to the gym alot, you may be losing the fat but building up muscle. So you might find your actual weight doesn't change much.
oopss, sorry Rowan, you got there just before me. :o)
Lots of brisk walking instead of going to the gym nearly every day. Walk for half an hour in your lunch break perhaps. Cut down your portion sizes when you eat.
How will going for a walk make her lose more weight than the gym?
why didnt you say go play squash instead fo going to the gym?
It's easier to include brisk walking everywhere (and using stairs instead of lifts etc) into everyday activities, rather than having to "go to the gym". And you're more likely to keep to it.
Sherminator, As per what gingejbee has said ^.

I agree about the Squash but that is more difficult to sustain. Brisk Walking is something you can do any time you have some free time. And it works well. Going to the gymn doesn't necessarily mean you lose weight either.

I can't stand the thought of gyms personally. Boring sweaty places. There was far less obesity years ago before gyms came about. People excercised as part of their natural life.
Aerobic exercise like walking, swimming, jogging etc increases your metabolic rate so long as you work at a pace that gets your heart rate up and gets you a bit warm and sweaty which means your body burns fuel eg fat faster this continues for a while after ther exercise.... gym work with weights etc builds muscle or improves tone so if you are using gym equipment its the bikes and treadmills that will help
Measure yourself instead of weighing yourself.
Consider that muscle weighs more than fat. If you go to the gym you could end up putting on weight. The most important thing is feeling healthy and clothes that fit surely.!
sorry hadn't read the rest of the posts...saying the same thing. oops
