Hypothetical case....woman with 5 kids, probably more than one father, probably on Child Support, probably needing tranquillisers or anti depressants, probably more kids to come, sees her doctor who makes the comment
" Have you heard of the morning after pill?"

Woman takes exception to this comment.

I think it is a highly relevant comment.

Opinions please.

I agree. But there's a way of saying it.... and a way of saying it...!!
Maybe she took exception to his 'tone' or the 'look' he gave to her existing children as he said it?
I would ask the same thing but maybe a little differently though.
Was this on the Jeremy Kyle show or Superanny?

The way it is asked implies she is stupid and although she very well may be. You could ask in a better way!
I think I would have probably advised her to buy a telly
I'd take exception too if i'd gone to the docs for something like a sore throat!

Other alternative ways of saying it please.
Alternative - "Close your legs, or else i'm gonna staple you shut!!"

bobjugs...LOL....she has on almost certainly a 42inch Plasma Screen TV.
Why do you need to say it at all?
this is about Sherrardk, right?

I'm not quite sure why you'd assume 'probably more than one father' or 'probably more to come'.

BOO...good, relevant medical advice.
If she saw her doctor on a pregnancy related matter then his comment would seem appropriate. On the other hand if her appoinment was related to an ear infection then he was out of order.

\\\\Hypothetical case.\\\

Re-read the question.
No it isn't.

You're assuming she's on anti depressants and trancs because she keeps popping babies?

How she supports these kids (benefits etc) or how many partners she's had is irrelevant and shoudn't even come into the equation.
In a sense it really has nothing to do with her doctor how many kids she has or how many fathers are involved or whether she is claiming benefits. If she had come in depressed though, maybe the depression is stemming from the stress of her situation there for it would be relevant to ask her is she wanted more children and had she thought about contraception.
bj are going into the medical profession with the same delightful cynical outlook as our lovely medical man Sqadlet..pmsl
snap greedy :-)
depends why she's at docs. Morning after pill aint gonna cure arthritic hands from daily laundry done down the river.
