hi. I'm going on my hen night to Edinburgh in march and was wondering if anyone could come up with some good 'things to do' suggestions.

I may sound miserable but I dont want to spend my weekend getting drunk and flirting.

There are 13 of us going mainly in our 30's and a couple in their 50's (my mum and mum in law to be)

We're all looking forward to visiting edinburgh and to do that with out blokes and kids is such a novelty to all of us.

We're going fri to sun. I would like some good ideas for something to do friday night. Saturday we've already got a tour of the dungeons booked and we want to go to the castle. We're planning a night on the town on saturday night.

Any good ideas to make the weekend extra special and one to remember will be gratefully received.

Why not check out what is on at the Playhouse Theatre Friday night or Saturday afternoon.

Don't book into the IBIS Hotel - it's disgusting and doesn't have a carpark, although this is never mentioned in any literature, or on line.
If you are feeling energetic/mad then the 'Ratho@ centre is fab skyride, death slide etc!!
I live in Edinburgh and use this site quite alot to see whats on: http://theoracle.co.uk/index.cfm If there is nothing in here to take your fancy, you can always buy a copy of "The List" when you get here which has a comprehensive listing of everything going on, much like "Time out" magazine in London. It's a shame you cant hang on a bit August is the best time to be in Edinburgh with the festival! The dungeon tour is entertaining so you are off to a good start. Enjoy Edinburgh and congratulations.
