I dont think they are cold sores. Id say you have impetigo

the cold sores are the Herpes Simplex virus, and once you've got it you're kind of stuffed!

keep some Zovirax (aciclovir) handy but you have to catch it at the first tingle stage.

if they get really bad (I had a mega one on my nose about 12 years ago) you'll need antibiotics.
its when you said on side of nose and the tiny lumps that made me think that
do the tiny spots bturn into a honey colored scab? is it itchy? and also you may have transferred the bacteria into your stomach making you have the squits
you could be right, 4get, but I used to get them (prob tempting fate now!) and had the most bloody awful thing on my nose whilst on holiday. when I got back I went to see a pharmacist who said, "on my god, I can't help you with THAT!" and sent me to the docs for antibiotics.

but it was a coldsore.

not sure about the legs aching though.
antibiotics would clear either up.

well if its a cold sore then warm water should heal it quicker, hold a hot flannel on it (wash after) or a ot teabag as i has good healing nutrients in, and if you feel a new one coming on befre it has blistered hold an icecube against it.
Question Author

Indeed tinkerbell...the body does work in strange ways...its trying to tell you something. Sounds like your immune system needs a boost - vitamin c and zinc are great. Also re. the news you got - whatever it was, it was obviously a shock to your system, and hence the diarrhoea. Be kind to yourself and take some time out if you can.

When I am getting cold sore - my whole body aches, bit like the flu - my head feels fuzzy and I generally feel grotty. I usually dab tea tree oil on it before it takes hold.

If you have a couple of cold sores Tinker, this will definately make you feel unwell.

thanks den....im thinking a combination of everything getting to me...worth a visit to doc...and a nice chill out day tomorrow....thanks all...take care :0D x
I have just had a bout of coldsores and have had Acyclovir tablets from doctor for 5 days. The cream wasn't helping enough and after the 4th in 4 weeks I decided enough was enough. I was feeling really poorly with them as well and had shooting pains in my face that made me cry out with the pain. Since I took the tablets all is clear ( touching wood here ) I had been doing all the right things to halt the coldsores but they kept breaking through.
Try asking Dr for tablets.
