Has it ever taken you a bit longer to start to fancy someone? Or do you decide in the first few minutes? What about your current partner- did you fancy them immediately, or did you ever have a change of heart having met them initially?

I met my husband on the 11th December, he moved in with me 2nd January, we got married a year later on the 11th December, and have been together 33 years, not just looks I just knew.

I detested my current partner until I realised they left skid marks in there underwear. Once I found this out I fell in love. I love smelling and tasting the skid marks. If there is enoug there I sometimes scrape it out and take it to work with me.
Scarlet do you like skid marks?

I've known mine since I was 5 but have only been together for 18 months or so.

No, I did not fancy him in the slightest. We were just mates who met up now and then. I don't know what happened. He said he chased me for ages but I thought he was just being a good mate (I was having a hard time)but when he wasn't around I realised I really missed him. The more time I spent with him the more I fell for him.

I love him to bits and it's been the best decision of my life :-)
Hmmm...took me about 1 1/2-2 years with a guy who was a friend.......one day I just suddenly realised I'd fallen in love with him......luckily the feeling was mutual.
30 seconds after seeing her in a pub I told my mate I was going to marry her, I told her 30 seconds later and although she laughed and said "In your dreams"..five years later we got married
I'd seen my husband around, with an older circle of friends, but never really had the chance to talk to him until we all found ourselves on the same holiday. We spent a day together, talking and talking. Three months later I was engaged. Three months after that I was married, and we've just celebrated 12 years together. I knew from that first day. So did he.
Sweet ELVIS ;-)

I know it's true and it's sweet. It's so lovely when you realise that you like someone to find out that they've liked you much longer :-)
I don't think it matters who admits to fancying the other first, so long as youi both agree on it! : )
The boyfriend I have now we got talking in a bar after this other guy was really rude to me.
He was not the type I would go for at all and he is ten years younger but I though give him a chance.
At first I didn't really fancy him but now when I look at him he makes me feel all goose bumpy and stuff!!
He really has grown on me.
We have been together 6 months now and out relationship is growing stronger.
I went out with my current bloke in 2000 and he dumped me after a week. Then about 5 years later he realised he'd made a huge mistake. I made him chase me for another 2 years but I knew he was one for me as I;d get butterflys everytime I saw him then I gave in and we've been togather 2 years and he has just moved in.

Here is why I asked; I have a new friend. Male. We spend all our time together and text constantly, even through the night. He has made it painfully clear that he doesn't fancy me, and I really don't physically fancy him- he is 10 years younger than me and rather small! However, I miss him all the time we are apart and we get on like best mates. Is this all it is ever destined to be, since to him, looks are the most important thing?!
