Does anyone know where to buy knee length black boots for petite women? Most boots in the shops are usually too big at the top and too long in length. Consequently many boots that i try on are more like wellington boots! My shoe size is 4, so i don't have a problem with getting the sizes, its just that none of them fit well. Calf length boots might help, but there are not many of them around??

A lot of the home shopping catalogues - Abound, littlewoods, Look Again - do petite sizes for clothes and shoes. It would be worth having a look at these and trying them for size and fit.
I can't think of it right at this moment but there is a company that makes boots to fit you exactly - you measure around your calf and ankle and up to the knee and select the style etc. and they do the rest.....They're always mentioned in the Style section of the Sunday Times - you could probably try their website for more info. Sorry I can't remember the actual address!
Dear JN I have the answer! I, in fact posted a similar question, because I have thin calves and it's impossible to find boots. I've done research and found someone excellent. Simone Orsucci is an Italian man in London, he is working for Gina shoes, and does private commissions. My good friend used him, and at the weekend I asked him to make me some boots (got measured up and told him the design I'm after.) Shoes are 250 and boots 300- it's beautiful leather, and he seems efficient, high quality etc. His number 07969 488 490

I'm also interested to know some places that do petite boots.

My problem is that not only am I only 4'11" tall but I also wear only a size 2 shoe.

Usually I wear childrens shoes but all the boots I can find in the childrens sections are too tight around my calfs...

...any ideas?

I've never found a pair of boots that fit my calves either - it's so frustrating.  But I recently bought a pair that I love but they still looked a bit welly-ish.  Somebody suggested asking a cobbler to take them in for me - which he did and they are perfect.  I can now wear a skirt this winter!
