Can I get in trouble for this?

Someone I work with (Person A) is lying about phone calls, quiet chats and meetings with someone else (Person B) who I also work with and is also his ex. Person A is going out with my best friend and I have told her about their chats etc but Person A denies it, says they rarely speak etc which is sooo not true. I think he is doing the dirty and if he isn't why is lying about even talking to her if its all innocent?

Now, I don't think my friend believes me and I am thinking about bringing a camera in to discreetly take photos of these going ons as I don't want to see my best mate screwed over. I don't care if he knows that I've taken the photos as he is already messing with my friends head trying to make out I'm best friends with Person B. Can I get in trouble for doing this? Plus, does anyone else have any suggestions on catching him out?

if she doesn't believe you then thats her problem, let her find out for herself
i would leave it at that, dont go getting too involved if your friend hasnt asked you to.
Last thing you want to do is to get too involved - if you take pics, your friend might end up giving you grief and blaming you for having some part in the failure of the relationship.

If you step back, then when the inevitable happens, at least you'll be able to say "i told you so"!!

No, but really, just keep to yourself and be there for the friend when it does end in tears!

I told her about them meeting up on a certain day and she confronted him about it and he has ended it there 5 seconds ago.

What will I do if he comes over and confronts me (it is all true but I do have to work with him and he could make my life difficult)?!
getting involved is a minefield, dont do it

you can tell her, she doesn't believe you and stops talking to you,

she believes you, they split up she resents you for telling her

she believes you and forgives him and there's an atmosphere between the 3 of you which leads to the end of the relationship

your reading too much into it, nothing is going on and you split them up

just stay well clear

Whats done is done. I'll just have to face the consequences. I guess if he does do that I'll just report him for bullying/harrassment. I wish I'd never said anything yet. I only did it because if it was me I'd want to know.
I would always let my best mate know if I knew someone was doing the dirty but I know she would believe me every time as I would never lie to her. I also would keep quiet if she was doing dirty on someone else is this wrong?
If it was anybody else I would of just watched, but its your best friend so in my opinion you did the right thing.

To be honest I wish I had never said anything now. I'm so stressed out and he is ignoring me and she's upset. It doesn't seem like anyone benefited from it
she will do in long run
i would also e wary about doing anything about this at work, there is bound to be some clause somewher that you could end up in trouble over - they could even construe it as bullying!

I've learnt my lesson and won't interfere again even though it was my best mate! C'mon make me feel better, don't tell me off anymore lol!
Go sit in the corner and think about what you've done

I've sat in the naughty corner and thought long and hard about it. I'm sorry!
