kitten breed

Just took in a beutiful kitten but question breed as no information was available. Mostly tan, white face, stripe tail and stripe belly. Fairly long tail. Unbelievably great tempormant and patience with small children. Took first bath very well. Any idea?

It's very unlikely to be a particular breed but it sounds like a very attractive and pleasant natured cat so don't worry about it

Are you supposed to bathe cats? I never did with mine - should i have??

You shouldn't really bath a cat as they have natural oils which will be removed when washing. They are pretty good at cleaning thenselves. Yes does sound like a bengal which as well known to like water and baths.

Bathing a cat is fine if you use the proper shampoo and take sensible precautions. It does no harm whatsoever, show cats are always bathed You often never need to but like grooming it's a good idea to get them used to it as a kitten if you are going to do it

Could have either Maine **** in it or Ragdoll. They have very long fur and particularly long tails and whiskers. Are both excellent with children and LOVE having a chance to play in water ... so love baths and paddling pools lol.
