Beer belly

Why is a beer belly hard and distented, whilst someone with a fat belly just has soft fat that wobbles?

Ive known tee total men to have beer belies...er tea bellies?, not sure why, maybe the distended one is suffering from an intolerance to a food which will cause bloating.

some drinkers suffer an intolerance to the yeast in the beer which causes bloating, its often just dismissed as a beer belly, it could also be caused by the person having IBS

In my job, (train driver), its known as 'Motormans Gut', at least. it was, before the ladies started taking over.

Nothing, the phrase has passed into history, you can't now give it a name, because of all of todays touchy feely people, the PC brigade.
