What do you think of getting my mum and step mum a toiletry pack from the Lush soap shop? Is that sending out the wrong signals or is it a nice thing to get because they are nice soaps? What about getting my bird some massage oils as she has a trapped nerve in her back, obviously I'll be there to give her a massage too and I'm going to copy her a mix-cd. Too much, too little or just right? What do you think? THANKS!!!
Personally I would love a Lush pack for Chrimbo, hint, hint mrwarpig.
However I know my mum would not appreciate one, not that she would say so. Is it the kind of thing she and you step mum would use? Thats the thing, they may look lovely, and pretty but would they use them, if so, the go for it.
I got my mum and mum in law leather gloves and swanky scarves, not so 'pretty' as a Lush pack but I know they will use them and appreciate them more.
Nice one, I just want an excuse to go in the shop as I pass it everyday on my way to work and it smells really enticing but I'm a bloke so I can't really go in without an excuse. Also do you think I should get my gf's mum a present? I've never met her and I've only been seeing her daughter for 3 weeks but she is kind enough to be letting me stay there this weekend....
Well if you are staying there then it would be nice to get her something small to show your appreciation (also get you loadsa brownie points, always a good thing!!!)
Schreech I tink your gift-giving ideas are all good. Also, I do agree with taking a poinsettia plant for your girlfriend Mum, and yes you will definitely score brownie points. Best wishes!
Don't you think it's a bit early to be bringing random strangers the gift of shrubs? A shrub is a living thing and if I bollox everything up they're going to be forever reminded of what a plum I am surely?
LOL skreechee, I think a ponsietta is a lovely idea and dont worry, they dont live forever, and if you do bollox it up before the plant dies, they can always look at the plant and think 'fondly' of you.
Paulos, my poinsettia is going on seventeen years, yes 17.
As time wore on I transplanted it into a larger pot and it has now turned in a tree. It is absolutely gorgeous.
