Before I go to the doctor, can anyone tell me what it might mean to have a Metallic Taste in your mouth? I'm not on any medications. I don't have a cough but I do have slight congestion. I'm not pregnant (just had a baby 4 months ago and had my tubes tied) and I don't have any dental issues.

My mother in law had this when she had a chest infection recently. Also,at the time, somebody on AB had it but i can`t remember who.Seems to be a virus.
Thats really odd, because right now and last night, I have a metal like/blood taste in my mouth, I have a cold with 2 days of flu type aches and have just got over 5 days of a particularly bad chest with the cold.
Think you'll find it's the congestion that's doing it, all the nasty stuff lurking around in your sinuses at the moment.
I normally get that taste a day or two before I suffer a migrane.
