I'm ignoring the fact that he's a man of the cloth and just taking him as a seemingly genuine, nice person, who tries to be helpful and talks a lot of sense.

I agree cazz, but along with an unhealthy intake of alcohol and a depressed life, I must say the old cholestral build up is not a good thing!!

But it's all the brown-nosing !! I mean ffs, give the guy a break, he will now be shaking with apprehension at everything he posts lest he fall short of perfection.

It was the same with me when I first joined, I was flooded with 'oooh how wonderful you are' posts (and rightfully so) until one day I came one here and said big fat belly bottom bum bum bum and restored some balance. Now I am regarded with enormous respect and affection, but no longer as a saint, even though underneath it all I am the nicest person on here.

Well i like Village Vicar he seems a really caring and considerate guy, and he does come across as genuine.

It just seems you can't please everyone on here, if your nice and polite like VV then your too nice and folk are suspicious, but folks don't like the nasty posts either. So what's the answer?????

most people dont believe that someone can be genuinely nice, it could be down to the large amount of trolls or the fact that its hard to find really nice genuine people here who have no bad side??


and arguments always attract the crowds of course..

yes, he seems a nice guy. I am surprised to learn from whiffey that this creates saints, I had thought the Vatican had a different procedure, but there you are. (And despite what whiffey says, he's jealous.)

I too must echo the words kind shared by others regarding V V's thoughtful and intelligent posts. I took great comfort from some of the links he posted regarding grief/dying in someone else's post.

I wish some would adhere to the old rule of , If you have nothing nice to say, say nothing at all.
