Amen!
Chappie - you have nothing to prove to anyone on here. Accusations happens on here every day. Some on here always think they could suss someone out by their ' writing style', bologna. Ignore everyone who's unpleasant to you. I just say whatever and pay no notice to such ....

Thanks for that figure,

I know I don't have to prove myself, it's all just a bit of fun.

As I had some time on my hands, I thought I would post some of my old questions. Quite easy to get carried away though, you don't realise how many you've posted until someone questions you!

Seriously though, I think Answerbank is great and I have learned a heck of a lot from it in these past few years.

But I could never take anything too much to heart - there are too many wind-up merchants on it for that!

Good for you chappie for typing all that you have, proving you are not a newcomer to Answerbank. There are too many cynics on here. I think there are some who owe you an apology. Are you listening theonlyone?

And there's one thing that puzzles me. Even if you were the Village Vicar, why would you come back pretending to be somebody else? Just doesn't make sense.
I always thought VV was legit. As for his lengthy responses, I always chalked it up to his profession. I can be wordy too, as a teacher I love to hear myself talk.LOL

I missed the whole request to set up the paypal account. That does make me take pause. If he is a scammer, he went to great lengths to create a "legit" identity for himself.

I thought he left b/c of some nasty remarks either about his daughter or that his daughter saw and became upset about.

I guess we will never know.

EngTeach, I thought he was legit too, until Ethel posted that she'd contacted his church. She also made some very valid points about him being super-human (she didn't use those exact words) but he did seem to be able to do a heck of a lot in a very short time!

I have been looking through some of his posts this evening, and really laughing at the thought that some folk on here think I am him (I am he?)

Please feel free to correct my grammar!
Thanks for reminding me EnglishTeach. I recall his leaving had something to with his family, but couldn't remember what it was.
Sorry I was gone so long. Mopped Bathroom floor.

I believe it is "think I am he". I always have to stop and think about it and then second and third guess myself.

Wonder if he'll ever be heard from again.

Thanks for that, Teach.

Don't suppose we ever will, but I would love to know if he was genuine (getting more and more doubtful though).

If he really was - wow, what a guy! If that's what believing in God does for you, I'll be first in the queue at the church door tomorrow!

He was jetting all over the world, baking cakes, giving sermons, healing the sick ......... blimey, I only have to walk up my stairs and I am out of breath!
Even if he wasn't genuine, I've read posts from people that he's comforted - so what harm's been done?
His replies went on a bit - to say the least - but if anyone took the time to read what he was trying to convey, I think he made a pretty good job of it.

That's very true, Ice.Maiden, he did comfort a lot of people. It must surely make you curious though, once you have read all the posts on this thread? At the beginning of it I was certain he was genuine. Other people's thoughts on him certainly made me think twice.

Can't say I saw the post where he was asking for cash, but if I had, alarm bells would have started to ring for me. If he is a conman, he is one heck of a clever guy.

In a way I kind of feel sorry for him, because if he does turn out to be genuine, imagine how he will feel when he sees all this stuff written about him on here. Sort of makes me feel uncomfortable (and before anyone says it, I know I shouldn't have asked the question, but you know how it is on Answerbank, you get drawn into it - hubby's threatening to divorce me if I don't start going to bed at a reasonable hour!)
Bless - mine gave up ages ago hun!!!

And yes, I see what you're saying. If he was/is genuine, then being the sort of person that he appeared to be, I imagine he'd be sad - but not angry. He seemed to have compassion and insight, so I'm sure he'd know that - to quote a phrase - "to err is human". Anyway, I haven't been an AB member for all that long really. I don't know what VV was like before I registered, and I don't always read though all the posts, but from what I read personally, he seemed to have a compassionate disposition, and if that helped just one person - then I think it's great. It's far more than certain others on here do.
