Sitting messing about on here while hub's on the Playstation, and in the background I'm just listening to one of the characters on the game. It turns out it's Sean Bean without his normal Sheffield accent. He's talking a load of rubbish really, about castles and amulets and war, but I could just sit here all night and listen. His voice has made me go to jelly!!

Whose voice does it for you??

It's that kinda Soprano tone. Its like new york but the vowels are longer especially before an R. I dont really analyse it that much when Im watching it but I do spend the next hour trying to mimic it, I think Im brilliant at it but probably still sound like a bumpkin!

Jon Bon Jovi and Ray Liotta are the NJ guys I can think of. Im surer Joe PEsci sounds all new york but maybe Im wrong.

I adore Sean Bean's sheffield accent.

I love northern accents (sorry but not so keen on brummie & newcastle. Liverpool is also a bit of a push) as it goes. I'm more partial to the yorkshire side but I think it's something to do with the fact that they actually sound like men.. do you know what I mean? Sort of gruff and manly?

China Doll - I know JUST what you mean about those manly accents. Sean Bean's normal accent is heavenly, but on this game I was enjoying listening before I even realised it was him, which made it all the better, somehow! Like a bonus, to discover the voice had a manly man behind it once I'd identified him... lol!!

I don't know him exactly, but you've reminded me of another gorgeous voice, irishmary, and it's Sean Pertwee. He does loads of voiceovers though, so it could be one and the same??
