is "seeing someone" more casual?
Seeing someone = not exclusive
Going out = exclusive

At least that's the way I've always looked at it. But I've been out of the dating game a while so I welcome all contradictions ;0)

does that mean its not official and u can see other people aswell i wouldnt wanna do that
as long as they arnt in the same postcode is doesnt count anyway
Erm... well it does to me but I could be wrong. If you don't want to do it then don't do it, it's not obligatory to go out and see other people. Just make sure you and the other person are singing from the same hymn sheet.
Im kinda seeing a bird at moment but not actually going out with her...he decision (not mine). We text a lot, get off with each other when we bump into each other in town on Sat night.

Its like best of both worlds.

but i think i would be pretty upset if he was seeing someone else id still class it as cheating
Another interpretation that I am aware of is that if you are seeing somebody, it might be for sex (Boo said casual but I don't know they may have meant just as friends with no sex) but not going out as such with them.

Well that's why you have to make sure you're both doing the same thing. If your bloke/girlie is in to the seeing other people thing then it doesn't sound like you'd be up for that arrangement and you'll have to work out what you want to do from there.
Surely if boy and girl meet and like each other, they go out with each other until one or other of them decides they don't want to do it anymore! Why isn't it that simple? I don't remember ever 'seeing' anyone ...I either went out with them properly, or I didn't like them enough in the first place to go out with them at all!! Makes no sense to me I'm afraid, although it does work like all the answers say apparantly!
I think Le Chat that it usually occurs in the very early stages of dating, the part where you're just getting to know someone and where you're not sure where or how this relationship will develop. I honestly don't know the full in's and out's of it all.
Blimey I'm so glad i'm married, I couldn't be bothered with all that malarky again!
You're very luck Boo... and people wonder why I stopped dating! Lol!
well me and john did try and help you out china babes!!LOL

we are having sex and we do go places i told him it wernt gonna work cos im scared of getting hurt but he were really shocked and said he thought it were goin well so its back on again i really like him
Whats exactly confusing with it?

Its a saying for god sake, ie'' i'm seeing this woman'' its the same as saying ''i'm going out with this woman'' or are you actually looking for the words, Girlfriend, courting etc

Of course you could interpret as ''seeing this woman behind someones'' { see zorro post} but at the end od the day you need to know if its your bird, or a friend, the OFFICIAL word don't come into by the way, what OFFICIAL about it, you went to the pictures and held her hand etc
Then you just need to have a chat with him and make sure that you both know where you stand. It sounds like you both feel the same way so I'm sure it'll be fine!

Lol @ Stevie! I've decided to join a nunery hun!
havinmysay, obviouslt did,nt know you was a girl, the username wasen't much help, the post still applies tho.

Why do i get the impression, you might be seeing someone else behind his back? apologies if i,ve read to much into it
