as some of you know my 8yr old daughter is being taunted/bullied by a 38 yr old woman, the final straw came this morning when my daughters school phoned and said she was in tears because this woman had started on her again, i have just been round to the womans house to try and put a stop to things, she started calling my daughter allsorts of things so i punched her, im not proud of the fact what can i expect if she calls the police?

ohhhh...... Well cant you deny hitting her and say she is a trouble maker, and then explain the whole thing??

nice idea but when i left her lip was bleeding and her neighbour was outside, i do have documentation of everything she has said or done to my little one, and the school are aware of the problem, im so stupid i didnt want to hit because it makes me as bad as her.
Oh dear I'm afraid to say you've lowered yourself to her level. I think you could be in trouble if she does call police but then again she might think twice if you have all these documents on her
To be honest, I think I would've done exactly the same thing. Its a good job you have kept a record of everything though. This may help you if she does happen to call the police.
Think you may have to admit guilt if she has witnesses but explain to the police the stress this woman has caused and the abuse that your daughter has had to suffer.
Ive read your other post and to be honest its no more than this woman deserved, what a b!tch she sounds.
Could you not say that she hit you first and it was self defence?? Say she hit you in the side if the head -hence no obvious signs??

i will admit that i have done it and hope that the police can see why, im shaking like a leaf now and part of me regrets what i have done then the other half thinks she deserved it, just wish i hadnt gone round now but as it my daughter i had to try and sort it, which obviously i have just made matters worse!!
Apologies if you explained in your previous post, I can't seem to find it.

What is a 38 year old woman doing bullying an 8 year old girl? What did your daughter do to illicit this attention?

Just curious.
Aww, loopy, I really feel for you. I would have wanted to punch her too. Unfortunately, if she does press charges then she's got the edge on you. I suggest that if she goes to the police then you may as well make it worth your while and go around and punch her a few more times!! Seriously though, if she does press charges then before you confess everything to the police ask them for their advice and what they think will happen. You could always play down the situation. Say you slapped her instead of punching her for example.

We'll all start a petition to clear your name, hun! How many signatures do we need?
You could always say she hit herself in the mouth to get you into trouble, and got the neighbour to back her up??
Am I scraping the barrel here??

loosehead if you put in the search bit adult bulling a child you will see the full story. thanks for the offer off a petition champange maybe while your at it you could do a tshirt free the loopy 1 !!!! would it be worth me phoning the police and explaining myself first?
now, since she's guilty of something so heinous, hopefully she won't call the police as she's guilty of bullying a child.

Have you sort legal advice about taking this woman to court? she is causing psychological damage to your child and that is not on!

I believe it comes under common assault, even though it is not physical.

pinkfizz i love you bits for your suggestions but hun i think that sounds a bit far fetched!!!
Good on you loopyc.

i reckon worst ways your get a caution from the police, tho as other post have pointed out, she may thing twice as you and the school are aware of her behaviour.

I can't stand bullies, and yes i would defend my children even if it meant hitting someone, i believe in dealing with it the diplomatic way, but every so often you come across a parent who's just come of the jeremy kyle show, and the only language these people no are either abuse or violence, well with me they will meet their match in any such way they wish, i'm not gloryfying violence, but sometimes their is no alternative
Question Author
thats what im hoping for beryl because if i had done what she had i wouldnt want to tell the police.
No dont ring the police, she may not even ring them and the you're told them for nothing.

You may find that she doesnt even report it loopy. She may realise that she deserves that slap
loopy, If it does beccome a police matter, it was in self defence, as you were protecting your child.

Start seeking legal advice. You have to stop this woman.
