what would be the best exercise for trimming inches from tummy and waist i understand sit ups dont help with losing inches from the waist is this true?

Apparently no because all that is happening is you're toning ure muscles underneathe those extra inches. Though im not completely sure.


Try jogging or something that builds up a sweat.


as mentioned in the answer above, sit ups and other stomach exercises will build up the abdominal muscles but will not rmove the layer of fat hiding them.


the only way you can lose the inches is by dieting and exercise.

no need to diet just sensible eating and plenty of exercise. Cardio vascular exercise such as jogging, cycling and swimming are all good ways of fat burning. If you accompany this with basic toning exercises like sit ups and press ups and maintain a routine then you should see beneficial results

As somebody who is also struggling to achieve this aim I've come to the conclusion that the following are the best methods:



  • Use a smaller plate & smaller portions

  • Eat all food with chopsticks

  • Chew every mouthful thirty times

This should make mealtimes such a pain that they will be avoided as much as possible. Oh - and buy a pedometer and walk at least 7,000 paces every day.
