I keep having problems getting some of my regular medication (Adipine XL 30mg) from my local Boots pharmacy so I'm thinking of changing to an online pharmacy, any recommendations?
I wouldn't use an online pharmacy because I don't trust Royal Mail to deliver when they should.
I use a local independent pharmacy that uses its own drivers to deliver to my home at no cost.
I like to know that I can easily talk to the pharmacist face to face, so this is very convenient for me.
Maybe you have a local pharmacy other than Boots that offers a similar free service
^completely agree with barry. I do know people who use online pharmacies with no problem...but in the back of my mind I'm thinking "what if the items don't turn up when expected?" How do you find where the problem is? Is it the Health Centre, the online pharmacy, Royal Mail? Has it been despatched, has it been mis-delivered etc.
Too many things to go wrong IMO. (And who's to say that the online pharmacy won't have the same supply issues?)
Another advantage to keeping local - I recently had to see my GP and he issued a prescription which was whizzed straight to my nominated pharmacy. I collected it on my way home so I could start the antibiotics straight away. Super service.
Just in case anyone is interested, I contacted customer service at the online pharmacy 'Chemist4U' asking if they could supply and it took two days to get a reply saying "sorry, we have no stock of that medication and don't know when we would be able to get it"
Obviously not worth the bother!
