i need a letter from the doctor to complete a form and they want to charge me
£25 quid, kindly telling me that i can have the payment taken over the phone.
I am not sure i can proceed as this has taken months so far. It is important
to a degree, should i just bite the bullet and pay,

Yes, there are lots of services that GPs charge for, it's standard practice
If the letter is important, pay.
Never been charged at my dr's and they have written me several letters, are also providing prescriptions for me following my op even though Iwent private!

i was stunned when they told me, however will see what the doctor says when she gets my message, she may wish to waive the fee.

Hi emmie, yes, my medical history.
Although everyone in Scotland gets free prescriptions, you do have to pay for any "jags" needed to travel abroad.

Might be "jabs" in England emmie, but they are "jags" in Scotland.

I have had to pay for a form to filled at doctor. I paid £30 and that was 10+years ago.

maggie, i will remember that in future. I just had a jag or two, taking blood to make sure my medication is ok for me to continue.

maggie, i think so, not only that they wanted me to fill in yet another form 10 pages long, including your ethnicity, sexuality ad nauseum, which i have found to be bloody ridiculous.

Yes, its normal practice. My brother recently paid £30 for a form to be signed by his doctor. I believe it was for for a passport.
