Does anyone know a treatment system for cancer secondaries (on spinal column and lymphatic system) beginning with T? My consultant used a word, and said it's not chemotherapy; also injectible, no hair loss, just makes patient feel a bit dodgy.

Wishing you all the best with your treatment, Fred.
Hope all went well today Fred and not too uncomfortable x

Radiotherapy no problem, Patsy; bit uncomfortable now, much fatigued, and going to the loo a lot. They gave me some anti-nausea tablets to take. Probably have an early night. Next appointment 10.45 am tomorrow.
Get the rest whilst you can Fred.
Do take the medication Fred, a nice supper, fluids and a good nights sleep. Take care .
Sleep well Fred. Big hug from me x

Thanks, mamya and anne. I'm going to have a mug of Complan, which I'm taking to build myself up pre-operation.
Question Author
Thanks, mazie. You folk on AB have been wonderful, and so reassuring.
Hope you have a good night's sleep Fred. I've heard it can make you very tired, so rest when you can. Keep you chin up...x

Gracias, patsy old fruit. (says he, sipping his strawberry-flavoured Complan)
Mmmmm!!...
Best wishes, Fred. xx
How did it go today Fred?
Question Author
OK, Patsy. The second session. They gave me anti-nausea tablets to take 1/2 hour beforehand. Just lay there, absolutely still, stripped to the waist whilst the machine buzzed and groaned. All over in 10 minutes. Lovely radiographer lady gave me advice on Iboprufen and Paracetamol. I can take both for the pain, 2@3 times a day for both. Quote: "Don't try to be a hero. If it's painful, take some painkillers!" Thanks for your concern.
Please take the painkillers Fred , they will do you no harm, I'm assuming you have the weekend off ?
Two down Fred, try to relax over weekend and take that good advice too.x
Take it very easy Fred, I hope all goes well for you.
Question Author
Yes, Anne, back Mon., Tues. and Wed., then probably another CT or MRI scan to see the effectiveness of the radiotherapy. Then a new date for the op, hopefully.
mamya - I have already taken that advice. The medics know best.
norz tabs are probably ondansetron - these work well, but I found them constipating.

did they tell you the dose they were giving you ?
sounz greater than 40 Greys

the dose is adjusted to give you a rester over the week end.

Keep in there baby !
Question Author
Odansetron 8mg., Pierre. I did have codeine phosphate for the pain from my GP, but I got so constipated, no movement for 4 days!
marval - thanks.
