I take an SSRI (Setraline) and have managed to run out. I took half a dose last night and have none for tonight. I have no idea how long they stay in my system - will it be okay to leave it until tomorrow before picking up the new batch?

They are at the chemist and , at a push, I could get down there this afternoon if I had to.

Thank you for your help.

why not ring the chemist ?
I think you should be ok till tomorrow as long as you don't need them as a sleep aid? Why do you take a half dose?

I've no idea, but why not just go and get them? You wouldn't have to worry then.

I only had enough for the half dose last night.

To be honest it is very wind, cold and raining cats & dogs. I don't want to go out unless I have to.

I will phone and see what they say.

Thanks
I would put my coat on and nip down to the chemist to get a fresh batch, wolfy......gives you peace of mind and a nice walk too x

You could ring the chemist first....check they have them in stock and prepare them for you.
Ooops.....after reading your post, you could stay put and in the warmth......go tomorrow morning x
hey wolf....look what I found in related questions.....

Absolutely no experience of this sort of thing but, I would have thought...

... that it would do little harm to be low on them for such a short while. And be sure not to run out in future. You'll be asleep for most of the time your system is low of them, won't you ?
That's the answer then, Raid the Maltesers & Galaxy Ripple store to see you through.

I braved the elements and trekked the 0.2 of a mile to the chemist, dropped into Oxfam and then Tesco and am now home again.

Thanks everyone.

Baths - I had hoped that nobody would see that. My first thought was that some other numptie had done the same thing ..... but I am a repeat offender. I would love to stop taking them and the Lithium but my doctor says that it would lead to me being hospitalised.

And to top it all I have no chocolate. I love Galaxy chocolate or Lindt.

Now I have to medicate the tiger that is hogging my bed.

aaww, sorry wolf,.....I only happened upon it cos the touchpad on this new laptop is so sensitive, + it scrolls out of the blue, + the cursor is all over the show.....am thinking of using a mouse.
Sorry you have no choc :(

Glad you're all sorted. x
You'll be completely fine, I've done this before and I'm on the same drug. Withdrawal affects take a week or more to be felt from an SSRI.
