Not nice, aog. You know mikey likes to give us the latest polls. ;-)
Anyone who actually cares to read the link-material will see that it is hardly full of joy for the Tories either!

But only spins in Labour's favourable poll predictions I note otherwise silence. :-)
We are all aware they are all undesirable, but at any time some party will be getting hammered less than the others and claim overwhelming support of all their policies by the public. It's all a farce.
I like the Independent, but that story is just blatantly untrue. As recently as 2012 the Conservatives were leading in the polls.

Labour were behind the Conservatives for a good year after the election.

This is from the Guardian from January 2012 showing the Conservatives 5 points ahead.

To portray a 3 point Labour lead as its worse poll rating since May 2010 is plainly false.

That is not to say it is a good result for Labour, it isn't. But the Independent are lying.
Hi Gromit, maybe the article is saying the 33% figure is Labour's lowest since 2010, rather than referring to the difference between Labour and Tory. I'm just going off what i remember and would need to re-read it
You are right Factor-Fiction.

But Labour have Polled below 33% since 2010.
The Conservatives are currently on 30%.
Even when Labour peaked at 45%, the Conservatives were on 35%.
The reduction of in their % lead is die to UKIP now taking 18%, up about 15% in the last couple of years.
So the 'ghastly' UKIP are taking labour votes then?

No wonder Mickey is quiet!
Not votes yet YMB, it is a poll.
As long as UKIP takes more votes from the Conservatives, Labour don't need to worry about the % of the poll.
The tories are on the skids as well.
The "Nationalist" are putting both big parties under pressure because they offer something fresh and different from the mundane garbage Labour and Tory have been spouting for years, people are fed up hearing their lies and nonsense. If UKIP do make massive strides in the next General Election as will the SNP in Scotland, the lefties and the torys onky have themselves to blame
Slapshot Not too sure of the UKIP gaining many seats, but I am certain that Labour will have a near catastrophic result in Scotland.

I feel that the traditional Labour voters in Scotland will wreak a terrible carnage on the Labour party, for having sided with the much despised Tories,at the Independence debate.
Not certain either Sir O but "IF" has many outcomes.

The lastest 4 seat poll sounds shocking but I think may be closer to the truth than the Scottish Lefties think, can you imagine what would happen in Westminster if the SNP turned up with potentially 40+ seats, unless there is a resurgence of Lib/Tory it could be significantly more. If there's a hung parliament ( I think the most likely result ) SNP could hold the balance of power with a huge number of seats.... interesting times
By the sounds of it, it will all come down to how many seats the Conservatives hang on to or gain, then it's a question of negotiation with the Ulster Unionists, Liberals, SNP or UKIP to close the gap. Could be some interesting talks and political cannon fodder.
Very interesting indeed slapshot. Throw your possibly 40+ SNP seats into Westminster and what then happens to the already problematic "Barnet"question?

Fun and games ahead methinks.
I can only say that it is all going to be very interesting and that we've had an offer on a house in the Yorkshire Wolds accepted - so hope to be back to vote this time! That is going to be one big headache!
