OH dropped a clanger last night. his favourite evening pastime while drinking his wine is going on EBay and looking at MG sportscars. he can spend hours doing this (Don't ask) its beyond me. Anyway he discovered he had inadvertantly bought another MG! I don't know what he is going to do with another car, we cannot fit 3 cars on the drive. He has to go to Congleton in Cheshire to pick it up tomorrow, i have to take him to Gloucester station so he can get the train .
He is obsessed with the one he already has. Spends hours polishing and just stroking it. Dread to think how he will be with this one.

Love that Caran - 'inadvertently' lol.

I think it's time I 'inadvertently' bought a new shotgun, or a car, or a fly rod......

:-)

first he knew was when he got the email saying you have won the car!
Inadvertently indeed!

Now .... what might you inadvertently buy Caran?
How much did he pay? vintage MGs sell for £15,000 to £120,000 and more depending on condition and rarity. You won't get a professionally restored one for much under £50,000!
Noooo.... The first you knew was when he got the email. The first he knew was when he placed his bid :-)
Heaven help us if he believes he's gonna run the country.
^^ He must have bid on it to win it, he can't inadvertently buy it , you have to bid first and then confirm the bid . eBay specifically warns you that confirming a bid makes it a legally binding contract when you go to click on the link.
Question Author
he put in a maximum bid. He paid £423 for it. Its an 03 plate with new wheels and alloys. They don't seem to hold their value. Loads for sale at silly prices.

^^ not a 'Real' MG then.
'Real' MGs were made up to the early 1980s the modern ones are just another used car.
Question Author
methyl he couldn't afford anything like that. This one is a saloon with a 2.6 engine. his other one is a two seater sports with a T plate.
This is a 'real' MG I love looking in this place it is just 10 miles away

Question Author
what do you mean playing games? If you look on ebay you will see they have very silly prices. This started out at £350, only one other bidder, OH put maximum bid of £450. He got it!
He reckons its in very good condition.

Sorry cannot do that hgone to bed. His original car is an MG two seater sports car. It is a T registration so quite old.
This new one is an 2003 registration. It is a saloon car and has a 2.6 litre engine.
How else can I say it.
Caran, he is being rude, take no notice.
