Why are there still so many dirty so an so's around that don't wash their hands after going to the loo? I notice it nearly every time I go out, yesterday a quite posh talking woman came into the loo's in Morrisons with two kids, told the elder girl (about 5) to go in one cubicle and took a little boy (about 3) in with her, and when they were finished she told them to wait for her while she went, when she came out she looked in the mirror fluffed up her hair and put on lipstick, then they left, no move at all to wash their hands, no doubt to go round the shop touching stuff other folk would buy, makes me sick, has she not seen adverts for soap?

That is just lazy! No excuse not to wash your mitts after visiting the loo. I also use my sleeve to use taps and open the door after washing my hands. I also use that antibac gel several times a day.
Used to work with a bloke who never washed his hands whether he peed or pooped, he'd then make tea and use his fingers to squeeze the tea bags.

I've always made my own since then!
BOO, I think it should bother all of us. We have to use the same door handles after all. I used to work with a chap who was fanatical about hand washing to the point where he would use his elbows to open doors. The spring-loaded doors were a challenge for him and a delight for those of us watching him :)
Urine actually harbours very few harmful bacteria. Indeed it has antiseptic properties. (That's why it's accepted practice for trapped miners to urinate on the open wounds of their colleagues). So failing to wash your hands after going for
. . . a pee is unlikely to harm anyone. Whereas, for example, failing to wash your hands after handling cash (as many shop workers do) is far more likely to cause problems.

(I've no idea how I posted an incomplete response there. I certainly didn't click 'Submit!).
Never mind Chris, come and join me in the unclean corner ;-)
I don't care whether it is harmful or not, I just don't fancy the contamination.

Whilst we are on this subject I spotted a young woman the other day with very long curled finger nails & am still wondering how she manages to wipe her naughty bits.
Chris....I do know about cash being more bug ridden....I used to disinfect MrG's cash when he had a compromised immune system....but no matter how much I like someone and how harmless their pee and poop are I don't want to touch or swallow any of it.....let alone that of a stranger....and if those hands have also squeezed an open pustule........no.....hand washing is important........☺
Perhaps she was just a scratch player?
In the Armed Forces Army Officer Cadets and RAF Officer Cadets, were taught to wash their hands after going for a Pee
But the Royal Naval Officer Cadets were taught not to Pee on their Hands!
Just imagine how many settlers of the Old West never reached their final dream because they all drank from the same ladle from the same water barrel attached to the Conestoga Wagon.
I use an anti-bacterial wipe and go over the the TV remote control when I am in a hotel room. God knows what is on them. I also make sure that I never put my toothbrush down on the sink surround. Someone once did a test on hotel sink surrounds and they had as many bugs as the toilet.
Slightly off topic, I find it really irritating when people put their children in trolleys and push them around. That is disgusting. I have to put my food in those trolleys.
Most food is in boxes or packets though Tilly?

I'm beginning to think im the ultimate hygiene trollop here as half of what makes what appears half you hysterical doesn't bother me in the slightest.
I know the food is packaged Boo but it then goes in my fridge and cupboards. I don't wipe everything before I put it away.
" I don't wipe everything before I put it away. "

I don't wipe any of it!

Think i better shut up now before I show myself up anymore, rofl!
I only wipe the bottom of the milk bottles.
Stewey...when MrG was trying everything to stop dying we had to go to Walsingham for a healing service and queue up to be given the healing water by a man of God....I stood behind MrG who happily drank from the communal ladle.

When it was then dipped in a bucket of water and offered to me my response was......Yikes.....no bloody fear!.....Not quite what the Holy Man expected but I was in a line of sick people sharing a ladle...
Bottom wiping is to be lauded.
