My cat has been given a steroid injection as she is really sick
I won't go into the details but I was wondering how long it takes
to do anything. She had it 2 hours ago and it hasn't seemed to
have done anything

I should have asked the vet but I was a bit shocked at the time

My wee boy gets them every month or so for his asthma. Usually he has stopped coughing before we left as vets. But a couple of times they have taken hours to work. If she is still unwell your best bet is to phone the vet - if it is serious I would consider phoning now.

Good luck.

don't worry the vet is on speed dial -
She has kidney cancer - we are at the
clutching at straws phase ... very sad !
It might give her more time with you so it is worth trying the steroids. At least you know that when she has suffered enough you are able to end her life and not allow her to suffer.

I hope that your short time left together is enjoyable and filled with love.

Iterele - so sorry, our thoughts are with you tonight. You did the right thing for your puss, but how hard it is. Big hugs (())
I'm so sorry, I lost my girl recently and it's heartbreaking x
I am very sorry to hear of your bad news. Even though we know that there time here on Earth is short they make a big impact on the lives of those who love them.

Thinking of you at this really sad time x
