glass in foot

i jumped up in a hurry at 3am to go to the toilet and stood on something,that was 8 days ago.i couldnt see anything in my foot but it was getting more painful everyday,i went to doctor yesterday and seen the nurse,20 mts.later she pulled out a piece of glass half the size of my pinky nail,what a relief i can walk better now,i got a telling off for leaving it so long.she put an iodine dressing on it and i can take it of tomorrow,thank god for nurses''

I once trod on something sharp in my bare feet and it turned out to be a darning needle with thread attached and the end with the eye had gone right in my foot , being alone I hopped on one foot to my neighbour and asked her could she pull it out she fainted on the spot and her hubby had to drive me to A&E where they removed it under local anaesthetic.
