Gluten intolerance.

Not really a question, but I thought I'd share this anyway....

For a while I thought I had a gluten intolerance, always had an upset stomach after eating cod and chips. Even oven cooked cod in batter upset my stomach.

I even went to the extreme of eating things with flour and dough in for about 3 days to see if it would make me bad. It didn't.

I asked friends and relatives if they had gluten intolerance or knew anyone with it, turns out you can have a dietetry change to cope with it.

Eating cod and chips earlier and realised that I don't like it any more.
I think it must be the cod that makes my stomach ache so much !

I could be in for an interesting night....

It could be the oil used to fry it in as its used several times before they change it.

I used to eat fish and chips often years ago but now my stomach can't tolerate it. For several years now I find that when I have fish and chips I suffer with gut problems. I get bloating, excess acid and indigestion. In fact I can't seem to tolerate most takeaways these days. Tusday night I ordered a pizza, some nachos and bbq chicken wings. I left a lot of the pizza and chicken wings but ate all of the nachos. I suffered quite badly that night. I've got IBS anyway so I have to steer clear of most fast food takeaways. Kebabs have the same effect.
