Checking yourself!?

Do you regularly check yourself for any "changes" or lumps?

Breasts/ testicles etc?

I dont. I should...as my maternal grandmother had cancer, and paternal grandfather passed away with cancer.

If you do...how do you remember to? Whats your routine!? Any hints or tips?

Id like to make it part of a routine ...i used to have a "gel mitt" from lloyds pharmacy i think....think ive binned it now. Xx

I don't check for lumps because I am very lumpy ... but I do check for things like nipple inversion and puckered skin/indentations and I am within the screening age range so I have a mammogram every 3 years

No more so than the I suspect the average male 'checks' his equipment.

My OH has a check of mine as often as possible. I keep telling him they don't need checking everyday!!

Do it in the shower...I find that's the best way.

Well according to my OH I'm always playing with them but I'm not always actually checking them if you catch my drift.

I am also remiss about ckecking. Like Rowanwitch I have a regular mammogram (every two years here) and I also get checked annually by my gynaecologist, which coincidentally was this morning. What on earth was the gel mitt for?

May I just say that if any lovely lady minxette on here ( especially those called crafty amongst many), requires a full breast check and general rummage for lumps and zones, I would like to volunteer my unreserved and thorough services to accommodate.

The gel helped your hand to slide around easily whilst checking the breast ....came with a dvd too how to use and what to look for etc xx

Yes I do, as well as breasts I always check neck, armpits and groin for lumps. (I've already had lymphoma)
