leg ache

hi does anyone suffer with leg ache , its only my one leg that really hurts but its not a pain more like a strong ache starts from my knee up to my thigh i was thinking it may be varicose vein but i dont have any that show can you have it without the bulging vein then i thought perhaps its bad circulation , dont want to go docs as feel silly going in and saying my one leg aches but it does keep me awake at night any ideas ? thanks

Id see the doc just incase it could be a DVT or something, be on the safe side....

If it's not sports related Tezmand, go to doc, don't feel daft going as like tinks says it could be a dvt, whatever it is at least the doc would put your mind at rest, a simple run over of the doppler on your leg could confirm it or rule it out

Does not have the characteristics of a vascular problem at all....venous OR arterial.

Sounds very much muscular in origin.

Have you any underlain medial condition, on any medication, how long have you had the problem and have you taken any medication to alleviate it?

If my wife takes tomatoes or oranges she gets pains in hands and legs.

i do suffer with high blood presuure and take ramipril for it havnt taken any medication for the leg ache im not a lover of taking tablets but i never forget my ramipril as i know i have to take it , its such a funny ache as its not a pain hard to describe ,

tezmand....in my opinion it is the side effect of Ramipril and is not a big deal......certainly not enough to scuttle off to the Drs or discontinue your medication.

thanks all for your answers had it again not long after my last post it comes and goes always starts around the knee never at bottom of leg so weird
