Blood tests show TSH levels <0.01 Low
Free T4 is 55.7. Apparently normal for this is approx 14. How 'high' is this? A bit high, a lot high or extremely high?
Given 10mg 3 x a day Carbimazole but planning to go abroad in about 10 days. Should I go on much needed holiday & delay the urgent referral til I come back? My last holiday was cancelled as I had heart attack LAD & 3 stents put in. Am desperate for a break.

Blimey......not a decision an on-line medic should make ,but a few comments:

The tests confirm an overactive thyroid and the Free T4 is "a lot high", but you have already been started on the appropriate treatment.

You didnt say when you had your coronary procedures, but I assume that you will also be on drug therapy....statins, aspirin an possibly beta blockers and/or ACE inhibitors.

Depending upon where you live and where you intend to holiday, then I would imagine it would be difficult to get medical insurance for your holiday.

I would suggest that you ask the advice of your consultant.

Personally.............if I felt well.........I would go.......but i am a "chancer"
