Go on up and have a shower.... freshen up....put something "suitable" on and i will take you.

A few laughs, something to eat and back to your place.

No strings eh?

Ours is tonight but I opted out of it. It was a boat trip up and down the Thames.
We stopped having office parties a few years back because nobody wanted to go.
I love my work doo,s always have a right laugh!
Ours got cancelled due to a lack of interest. 17 people out of 100+ put their names down for it.
Most organisations can't afford to give a party for free any more (I think at one time it could be offset against tax or something), we always had to pay for ours. We've got better things to do with our money - we spend all day with those people, we don't want to socialise together.
Many parties are cancelled nowadays not so much because of finance but for the embarrasment of the next workday. And yes a lot of firms do fund them as a tax fiddle wanting to seem more generous than they are.

I'd much sooner have a good Christmas bonus rather than being persuaded that I was on a good thing attending a cheap paarty with some of the people I worked with

I have two office christmas lunches to go to. I don't mind them but if I'm not in the mood then I just won't go and I never bother with excuses, I just say I'm not in the mood or I don't want to. I'm a charmer like that :c)
I'm going this year since we won money for it but I don't really like going out with work.
I'm going but only cos I could really do with a night out. Chances are I will end up drunk and proving all the entertainment (to my cost) just like last year. :(
Did you find a dress Evian?

Sorry for hijacking! Lol
Looking forward to mine in January ! Always a good 'do' and a good time to be had, something to look forward to after all the real christmas stuff is done.

I might take Olive out for a small sherry.
Nah - push the boat out & get her a Jagerbomb - just hide the cheese ...
Ours (Sports Shop) is the 17th. People don't bother asking me and I don't bother trying to make up an excuse. I could care less.....
Not much Christmas spirit here is there, mind you I agree with the majority of you, when I think of some of the firms parties I misbehaved at (in fact it doesnt bear thinking about)
