Woudsl this CV make you smile ( as it did me) and seriously consider the person because they are obviously intelligent and witty or would it ' make you reply with an angry response' as some humourless wretches apparently did? I personally found it pretty damned amusing...

I would find that funny :-)
Love his honesty but would I give him a job? Definitely not!!
Don't think I would employ him

I also had a laugh at a link from that same page

Lol....

That's what you get for giving jobs pimped up names...
Might make me smile but I sure as hell wouldn't give him an interview let alone a job I'm afraid.
I think if I was recruiting someone for a job and his CV landed on my desk, I would at least give him an interview. Like he said its probably a true reflection of him instead of all the "clone" CV's that are fired out everyday.
sorry, anyone who steals ginger biscuits is definitely a no no for me. The very thought!!!
No i wouldn't and neither would any company, he may be a good laugh, but prospective employers wouldn't see it that way. If he is as clever and witty, why doesn't he write a proper, decent CV, and see then.
No, I don't find him funny in the slightest, in fact I find him quite loathsome. He obviously doesn't want a job, I assume he's quite happy collecting his dole money though? And he's having a "laugh" at those of who have no choice but to work.
Well I was an employer....and I'd give him an interview.
After a lot of reflection I have decided that I would give him an interview and make my mind up about him from the interview. At least the interview could prove entertaining.
I wouldn't waste my time with him, he may be humorous but if I wanted humorous I would advertise for a comedian, I would like to think an applicant would take a job application a little more seriously. Im certainly not opposed to to a bit of humour on a CV but clearly this guy is not really looking for a job.
Whats the job lofty
Having employed countless people and seen countless "standard" CVs, I might have given this guy a punt with an interview. I used to get so bored wading through piles of CVs all of which said they were desperately interested in the the particular area and all of which trotted out the same old bull Sugar. At least he has done one thing more than a lot of CVs and that is got him noticed so perhaps he has been rather clever after all.
After wading through identical CVs, all designed to secure an interview where the 'performance' will determine whom the successfull candidate will be....I think I would put this chap to the top of the list.......just to break the monotony of interviews with earnest people trying to pull the wool over my eyes.....
Haven't decided what the job is owdhamer!! I would decide that at the interview ;o).

I agree Barmaid. I don't necessarily think he would make a bad employee - I also don't think he actually has told the whole truth though, I think there is a lot of exaggeration (which there is anyway in all CV's) CV's are totally useless in my opinion anyway. OK qualifications can be an essential for all the other bumph is ridiculous and most CV's look identical and you can even employ someone to do one or you.
And therefore I agree with Jack as well, who wasn't there when I started my last screed.
All CV's seem to be the same these days, I thought the idea was to catch the eye of the prospective employer rather than trout out the usual nonsense. (I used to be in a position of employing people in my previous life) I'd give him an interview.

'But he has vowed to stick with it until he runs out of cigarettes, when he may ‘have the chemical impetus to write a normal CV’.'

That comment really made me smile.

And I now agree with Alba as well. Having also, in a previous life, been in a position of selecting employees for interview.
