My daughter is 22 weeks pregnant and in the summer she suffers badly from Hay Fever. She has been told by her Midwife that she won't be able to take antihistamine tablets. Can anyone recommend any herbal or alternative medicine she can take.              Thanks.

Eating honey made locally is supposed to work wonders apparently.

i feel for your daughter i had to go through the exact same thing they told me that piritin tablets havent been proven either way if they did any harm or not and it was my decision but i didnt want to risk anything so i just suffered silently !! ( well apart from all the sniffing and sneezing )lol.
I was recommended Propolis by a health food shop.  Also stocking her body up with garlic capsules, vitamin C and echinacea will help combat symptoms
While I believe in 'alternative' treatment and the use of herbal and vitamin supplements, I think it important to take seek advice before taking any medication while you are pregnant or breast feeding as all can be passed onto the baby.

Your daughter's GP should be able to advise her, as would the staff in the health shops.
