I dont seem to have nightmares any more, the older I get. Sometimes it nice to have a good old scary dream! I guess as you get older the things that scare you change. Like the interests rates going up shortly before my fixed rate deal runs out!

Has anyone else found this? I think in general the amount of dream time subsides as you get older

I've noticed that too, I still dream but not as vividly (and horribly) as I did.

Not that I'm complaining, with some of mine it'd take me a while to work out certain things hadn't happened as they were so vivid and I ended up walking rounda former flat with a knife after one horrible one.

Maybe it's adjusting to a new sleep patterns, deeper sleep maybe? I don't think my imagination is as vivid as it was when I was younger generally, don't daydream as much either etc...
have you tried eating more cheese just before going to bed
I agree, I don't seem to have nightmares any more. I very rarely remember my dreams as well
nicotine patches are also very good
I was thinking the same today! I suffered from chronic nightmares since birth I can remember.
Lately I am having the odd 'ok' dream. I don't sleep as deeply as I used to and wake easier, I think it means I can wake out of my epic ones a bit easier.
I know what you mean though about things not scaring you as much :)
I always remember a doctor of mine saying that vivid dreams were due to a lack of certain vitamins ("B" ones I think he said) how true that is I don't know but I notice when I am very low on iron I have vivid and not so nice dreams, so maybe he had a point.

Oddly enough I've just had some cheese Dr.

Actually last night I had an odd dream that some random people were making cider in my mums kitchen. I was desperate for a wee and 'went' in their fermenting vessel. Realising they may wonder why theres more liquid I decanted some out in a jug and poured it down the sink.

I didnt wet myself in real life!

I've heard if you put a mans finger in a glass of water when he's asleep, he'll wet himself. Wifies - please research and post back tomorrow morning with your findings!
