Aren't you the lucky one
Nice to see you are being sympathetic!
I have never had pms OK.

Just agree and then your're wrong, disagree and you're wrong. Just give up and smile and don't smile. Hug and don't hug/ Sorry that the best advice I have to offer.

Oh dear...
Agree with albeqwerty-and I mirror exactly what she recommends. As someone who DOES suffer from pms it is hard on the husbandbut..... Harder on the woman suffering it. It is uncontrollable so please be patient with her .
Question Author
why do women deny that they have pms?
never understood it.?
Men have moods too.
The worst thing about it is you know you are being obtuse/vindictive/nasty/twisted but as eve says, you just cannot control it.

I know you wanted answers from men but sometimes a deep breath and seeing it (possibly) from the woman's point of view may help
Yes of course men have moods. When they can't get their own way.
Well I don't know any woman who denies they suffer from it! Howeverbefore I was unlucky enough to get pms (only began in past 3 yrs)I thought some woman used it as n excuse. Now j know better. The mood swings are uncontrollable! I wish I could control my moods at that time but I can't! My hubby us (fairly) good about it.
If only *you* could learn to be less irritating, you wouldn't have half the hassle...
mood swings and the rest must be bad but everyone has the ability to control what they say and do - i think some women need to learn a bit of self control
Iggy I used to think that too. Until I got pms. Yes I agree I can

(with supreme effort) control what I say but it is IMPOSSIBLE tocontrol how I FEEL. It does affect my hub no matter how hard I try . Have some sympathy for women with pms. It's no joke!!!!
Just agree with everything and give her lots of love and kisses. 45 years experience.
It affects all women differently, but it is something us ladies cannot control no matter how hard we try...it can be very difficult for their partners to understand let alone sympathize with...men can never comprehend the pain, discomfort, bleeding, aches, bloating, weight gain, headaches, tearfulness associated with this monthly event, to some women it can be very debilitating, the feeling like you have been kicked in the guts several times....but please try and be supportive and not sarcastic...you men have it easy lol...
Like I said Poppie
I wouldn't say we have it easy purple_popple - you only have to deal with your own messed up hormones where as us men have to deal with every women we know going slightly crazy once a month... and there in lies the problem if you lot could all synchronise that would at least mean we could avoid you all for a few days but NO you insist on having at least one of you acting mental at any given moment without giving any warning what-so-ever!

PMS is so hard to explain. It doesn't help when you actually give a man advance warning you are on your period & they 'still' are unsympathetic ? Quite the most understanding answer came from carlton23
violence is never the answer red - unless the question is "what do women resort to as their first response to any stressful situation when they are on their period"

I'm really enjoying the answerbank today :)
