i went recently after an unexpected encounter (protected).....i had all the test and got the all clear, i made a point of asking wether you can syill get aids / hiv if your sex was protected....

to which they told me , no if you have used a condom you will be fine.

but now my friend is telling me they are talking rubbish and you CAN still get it even if you are protected?

now im worried again after having my mind put at ease, that i could have aids / hiv and not know now until 6 months down the line.........

If you used a condom and it didn't split....then it's so unlikely it's not worth mentioning. Even if the condom did split it's still unlikely. Chill....

there was no foreplay, was literally put a condom on and got on with it lol ......even tho u say chill im still worried :S

No....it is not as contagious as people think. Yes you can catch it the first time but it's very unlikely. You wore a condom so you're safe.
Question Author
what do you mean you can catch it the first time x

If you have unprotected sex with someone that has it then there is a chance you might catch it. A Chance.....

You didn't have unprotected sex so you're fine.
What do you mean Tony? I don't have 'encounters'

Your friend is winding you up.
Also...the chances of the person you slept having HIV is slim.

Yes if it will ease your mind.

Condoms are widely considered a form of 'protection' though.
