a friend of mine whos in the army recently confessed to me that in his life, he has mainly had protected sex although there has been the odd once or twice he has received oral or had unprotected sex with previous partners but has never been tested

the more worrying part for me is he has told me he has been with 3 prostitutes in the past but each time has been protected with a condom, I have heard awful stories about prostitutes and escorts but am not quite sure how safe condoms are in relation to getting aids or hiv? or any kind of std for that matter??

if you could help me it would put my mind at ease - he seems to think hes ok as he was protected but I am sure condoms are not 100% safe against diseases. He hasnt got any symptoms but should he stil;l go and be checked out?

Wear a wet suit when you see him - better to be safe than sorry.

hes going to get checked out......but what im saying is, condoms arent 100% gonna keep him safe are they?

chances are 3 prostitutes have slept with LOADS of men, any one of whom could have aids

prostitution is an income some poor women have to realise - they dont do it for the joy of living. Even a prossy values her health and life as she usually has dependants and would take precautions.

If he has used them he's aware where else he can turn if you dont conform. If you're standards are higher than his dont chance a relationship with him.....or make him have a medical first. Condoms are 99% secure!

so for arguments sake, hes selpt with 3 prossys but each time has been protected, so you would tend to think he should be alright?

he has had oral and things ages and ages ago but has never had any side effects
Safety rate of condoms.........98% safe against STD's or unwanted pregnancies.

If I was symptom free....I would not go to the clinic for a check up, but the correct answer has been supplied by goodbyegirl.
Sqad's right of course, but the material which condoms are made of have tiny holes in them. These are mostly safe, but the HIV virus is many times smaller than the holes, and therefore, render a condom pretty useless against the virus. Best to get checked.
Ice...good morning........I didn't know that condoms had tiny holes in them....honestly.
same here ice - I thought that only happened on soap operas with the psycho lady and the needle
morning peri.
No - whether made of latex or whatever, if you stretch any material and examine it under a microscope (not that you're going to...) you'll see that there are perforations all the way through it. I only know this because I watched a TV programme about it once - and the very fact that condoms DON'T protect fully against the HIV virus. They ought to make people more aware of this.
its either good morning or good night for me sqad - Im in between both - you're an early bird - what time is it there? We have the extra hour today
You're right ice - people should be more aware - something else to add to the chat with the kids eh ?
peri....I come down at 6.30....5.30UK time to feed the cats, empty the dishwasher and drink my orange juice BUT today, with the clocks going back my body thought that it was 6.30, but it was only 5.30....does that make sense? LOL

The cats were also waiting.
yep - well the cats body clocks dont know any different. How are they all getting on anyway?
The new female kitten was accepted straight away by the big male, but the other female has taken 2 weeks to accept her, but they are now all fine peri.
Hi, my daughter has outbreaks of herpes, not due to being Promiscuous but from being raped, she was told that when she has an outbreak she must not have sex with her partner until the virus as gone as condoms do not protect you from catching herpes as the sores are obviously around the vaginal opening and anus in which case the male partners testis will touch the sores and are not protected by the condom.
What a terrible ordeal for her.
Yes Sqad it was, they did deport him on 2 occasions but he managed to get back into the country both times, my husband found out that he was back and told the police but they didnt want to know as it wasn`t my daughter that telephoned them, she didn`t do so as she was scared he would look for her again, so he is still out there waiting for some other innocent female. I was right by answering the question the way i did, wasn`t i??
