Has anyone tried anything new for this most irritating of complaints? I find the only cure is sunshine but I seem to be in the office whenever the sun shines!!

Sunshine ... works for me. Nothing else even comes close.
As long as it is not so severe that you have open areas of skin, then you could try a floatation tank. The salts in the waters apparently can help.

This is the one i go to.

I sympathise! I found UV rays are the ultimate cure. I used to have 'Photo Therapy' for it many years ago but that was basically a sun bed in a hospital...and it worked wonders.

After my last attack my dermatologist said it was getting increasingly more difficult to get patients into Photo Therapy (because of funding I think) and actually suggested I use a tanning booth in a salon and although I'm usually against using them, they work wonders.
Instead of using shower gel or soap, try washing your whole body (or wherever your psoriasis is) with Head & Shoulders Intensive Treatment shampoo - it's orange and comes in a dark blue bottle. It cleared mine up in no time.
I saw a story on T.V once, there was this baby that had really bad psoriasis and nothing worked.
In the end they went to a Chinese herbalist who made them a herbal tea and it cleared up within a week.
Each infusion is basede upon your own circumstances, it's worth a shot.
It's either that or steroid creams

Thanks everyone - some intriguing answers here. I will certainly give them a go.
I once spent two weeks in Majorca and that cleared it for a whole year!!
Anyway, thanks for the replies.
